 Le temple de Sethi Ier

Sethi Ier, deuxième roi de la 19e dynastie,

fit construire son temple funéraire sur la rive gauche du Nil à Gourna,

à l'extrémité nord de la nécropole thèbaine.

Le temple de la 19e dynastie se rapproche des temples consacrés à une divinité;

à Gourna le culte du roi défunt est simplement associé à celui du dieu Amon.
